What is myBibleChapel?
myBibleChapel is a Web-based companion to the Bible Chapel database, giving you access to vital information over the Internet.
How do I get into myBibleChapel?
Click on the myBibleChapel link on the Bible Chapel web site.
This will bring up the login screen.
In order to create a login, you must meet the following criteria:
- You must have a record in the congregational database already
- You must be active in The Bible Chapel and have a member status of Member, Regular Attender, or Guest
- You must have a valid email address entered into the congregational database
Why can I not create a login?
The most frequent problem is that your current email address is not entered into the congregational database. You will receive a message like the following:
To correct this problem your current email must be added to the database by a staff member. Click on the link provided to submit an email to the administrator with your name and current email address.
What happens once I am found in the database?
You will receive the message below that you are successfully setup for myBibleChapel access.
Congratulations! You have successfully set up a member account. Please check your e-mail for your username and password at….
In addition, you will receive an e-mail at the address provided that contains your new username in the format of FirstnameLastname (e.g., JoeSmith) and a single use password. Once you login you will be prompted to change your password. Your new password must meet minimum security requirements (the password strength indicator will go from red to green once they are met).
What if I tried to create a new login but it says I already have one?
You will receive the message below if you have already created your user login.
A login record for you already exists. Your username has been emailed to you at….
In addition, you will receive an e-mail at the address provided that contains your username in the format of FirstnameLastname (e.g., JoeSmith). You should use the left-hand side of the login page to supply your user name and password.
Is my contact information freely available on the Internet?
No, your information is available only to members of the Bible Chapel congregation who have logged into myBibleChapel. By default, members of the Bible Chapel congregation can see your name, your home address, phone number and email address. You can limit what information is show by clicking on “My Profile > My Personal Preferences” and changing the preferences listed there.
Won’t this open me up to spam?
No. Since your data is only available to members of the Bible Chapel congregation, spammers will not be able to access your information.
Is my giving history private?
Absolutely. Only you can see your giving history and only when you have logged in. The server is tested daily to make sure that it is safe from hackers and is protected by 128-bit encryption. Giving records remain confidential.
How do I update my information?
If you’ve moved, changed your phone number or e-mail address, update your record by clicking “My Complete Profile” and then clicking on the pencil icon.
How do I add a family picture/individual picture to myBibleChapel?
To upload an individual picture:
- Log into myBibleChapel
- Put your cursor over the HOME button in the upper left or click the HOME button in the upper left.
- Click on My Complete Profile from the drop down menu.
- Choose Edit from the upper right side of the screen.
- Choose Picture from the upper right side of the screen.
- Click on Browse and locate the picture you wish to use on your computer.
- Click Save.
To upload a family picture:
- Log into myBibleChapel

- Click on My Complete Profile from the drop down menu.
- Choose Edit from the upper right side of the screen.
- Choose Family from the upper right side of the screen.
- Choose Family Picture from the upper right side of the screen.
- Click on Browse and locate the picture you wish to use on your computer.
- Click Save.
For security reasons, any changes submitted through myBibleChapel require further approval. Look for your photo to be available on myBibleChapel within one week.
