Our purpose is to meet young adults where they are in their spiritual journey and to engage them through practical Bible teaching, fellowship with believers and service opportunities. Our vision is to develop a thriving, Christ-centered community of young adults who are passionate about Jesus Christ and dedicated to The Bible Chapel’s 5 essentials! We are a growing, dynamic group of young adults and would love to have you meet with us. We enjoy fellowship with one another, the teaching of God’s Word and a FREE pancake and egg breakfast every Sunday morning. We are currently studying what God says about suffering and how to respond to it. We gather throughout the week for fellowship, service opportunities, Bible studies and just plain fun! Dean Klos is the teacher.
We meet Sunday mornings starting around 9:30 in the Locker Room (Room 180) located below the Worship Center:
- From the lower entrance: Go up the first set of stairs/escalator and make a left. There are two sets of double doors. We are located through the double doors on the left.
- From the main entrance: Facing the Worship Center, walk to the right (past the last Worship Center entrance), go down the first set of stairs/escalator and make a left. There are two sets of double doors. We are located through the double doors on the left.
The Crossing is a class made up primarily of newly engaged couples to couples with young families. We are currently studying the Gospel of Mark. We will consider the author’s cultural setting and purpose, gaining a broad understanding of the book. We will pay special attention to major doctrinal themes and their practical application to us now as taught by Scott Myers. We meet in a casual environment where group interaction and participation are encouraged; most of the discussion is leader facilitated with participant involvement. In addition to class study, we have regularly scheduled service opportunities and social events such as picnics, hayrides and dinners. The class also provides a strong network of life transition support (moving, babies, etc.) and a core base of Life Groups. If this format sounds like a fit, we welcome you to study with us!
In this class, as you connect, you will discover a caring community of believers, a ministry of prayer, praise and worship (some of the hymns will make you nostalgic), service opportunities and in-depth Bible teaching. You will also discover the relevance of God’s Word to your life as we dig deep into the Scriptures and apply what we learn to daily living. Many in our class serve in various capacities at The Bible Chapel. We enjoy functions throughout the year. While all are welcome, we extend a particularly warm invitation to seniors (55+) to join us.
Foundational to our entire approach to life is our understanding of who God is, and of our relationship with him. This class will look at what has been called “theology proper,” the study of God himself. We’ll consider who he is, how we can know him and what we can know of him. Taught by Dave Fowler.
We are a group that meets with the following purposes: growing in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ; meeting as the body of Christ to love, serve and encourage one another as we grow and mature in our walk with Christ; socializing in homes to get to know each other on a personal basis; serving God at The Bible Chapel and bearing fruit in various ministries in our church and community praying for one another and others in our church and communities. We desire to grow in Bible understanding, obedience to the Word, service to God and others, and in our effectiveness as disciples of Christ. We seek to be fruit-bearers as Christ calls us to be. Ron Jones will be teaching on James beginning in October.
In the books of 1 & 2 Peter, Peter writes to the church about faith and trust in the providence of God in the midst of suffering. He writes not in abstract terms but from the vantage point of one who has been called personally to endure such suffering himself. What he says is an extension of what Christ says to the church. All are welcome to come and learn together. Taught by Joe Weise.
